Ready to branch out into a cardigan? This is Gabby's MOST worn piece of clothing, and the star of all her live videos. This is a bottom up construction with interesting pockets and a sewn on neckband. This class will be constructed a little different than most sweater classes, with shorter but more frequent classes to work through all the techniques together.
This is not a first sweater class, as this class assumes students have prior construction knowledge.
Dates: This is a SATURDAY afternoon class
March 14th - Fit & measurements as we cast on
April 4th - Pocket Placement
May 2nd- Split for armholes
May 30th - Shoulder Seaming with a 3 Needle Bind Off, Sleeves
June 27th - Pockets & Neckband Seaming
Time: 1:30-3pm
Supplies:
Douglas Cardi Pattern from Andrea Mowry (available on Ravelry)
Yarn Options- The Fibre Company Lore or Kelbourne Woolens Lucky Tweed
Needles appropriate for gauge
locking stitch markers
stitch holder
highlighter tape or marking system
Homework: Students must make and block a gauge swatch.
Students must be comfortable picking up stitches, increasing, changing colors, and working multiple directions at once. Students are required to have made a sweater or taken the My 1st Sweater class previously.
Class Policies:
