Join us for another round of spring knitting with the Quilted Pullover from Kimberly McAlindin. Like everyone knows, spring cleaning brings lots of organizing and we've decided to kick off our Knit-a-Long with a stash swap & pizza party.
The party is Wednesday, Feb 5th from 5-8pm, with a special zoom introduction from Kimberly herself at 5:30pm. Pizza is on us!
Here's how this will work:
- Everyone needs to purchase 1 skein from the shop for contrast - this will be collar, cuffs, and hem. There is a choice of cardigan or pullover.
- There is a one time, $20 fee for this KAL.
- Each participant must bring at minimum total of 400 grams of fingering weight yarn to swap. This can be 4 full skeins or several partial skeins, previously wound, or just no longer wanted hanks. These will all go into one basket. Skeins MUST be at least 20g for donation.
- All yarn MUST be LYS Quality. It doesn't have to come from OMR, but it must be good quality to participate.
- We will be winding them into 20g balls and these will be available the evening of the party. You may not take home the exact amount of what you brought in. This is a free swap for everyone and all sizes take approx 24 mini skeins. Please bring in yarn donations asap.
- We only have room for 25, so we anticipate waitlist. If you participated last year, please refrain from signing up until first timers have a chance.
- In the spirit of being fun & inexpensive for everyone, the shop will be buying a copy of the pattern for each participant.
- We wouldn’t recommend this as anyone’s first sweater as construction experience is encouraged.
This is going to be so much fun! We are looking forward to Kimberly kicking us off and picking out our colors together.
